Barcelona, Spain

One of the funniest things as we flew into Spain from France was the definite opposite in cultures. The spaniards on the plane were clapping and whistling when the plane landed after a two hour flight from France. So funny to see how loud they were compared to the French. It was so great that the guys could speak the language.

The Sacred Family is a cathedral that was started a really long time ago (over 100 years) and is still not finished. It was an amazing building. The sculpture of Christ is from the back of the cathedral's exterior where the sculptures are really modern. The back has sculptures of the crucifixion and the front exterior has the nativity which looked more classical. The stain glass windows were amazing in all the cathedrals, but everything was so different about the architecture of this one.

was very cool. It's a monistary that's tucked way up high in the mountains. It's surrounded by beautiful scenery.

This is where Emily tried her first Tortilla de Potata (which is the best spanish food ever!). It's potatos and eggs fried in olive oil, kind of like quiche, but so much better. We bought juice for breakfast that was 100% juice, no other ingrediants! Loved that! We noticed all the grandmas walking babies in their strollers. This is something we need to adopt from their culture!:)
